It starts with an excursion
For the Steinert family, the process of selecting the right construction company did not begin with a lengthy and time-consuming search on the internet or the scouring of various construction companies, but with a trip to Poing shortly before Christmas 2015. There is the largest model house settlement in Bavaria with many very beautiful, sometimes very similar houses. Julia and Sebastian Steinert got a good first impression of the different house types, sizes, shapes and furnishings, but they also realized that the wide range on offer doesn’t necessarily make the decision any easier. (In our article house planning – which house type suits me? we have compared the most well-known house types for you.)
“With such a large offer, choosing the right construction company is almost impossible on your own.”
Almondia makes it possible
When the Steinert family came across the Almondia website in early 2016, the seemingly impossible became possible. After Julia and Sebastian had formulated their most important criteria and requirements for the construction company, the right construction company for the Steinert family was found in close cooperation with the Almondia house construction experts. It was particularly important
- that it is a local construction company that works with local craftsmen and companies,
- that the construction company offers turnkey houses and
- that the budget is adhered to.
The first point was particularly important to the prospective builders because they were aware of the large number of competent craftsmen in the region. In this way, the local economy could also be supported. It was also important to them to always have a contact person on site. Since it was not yet entirely clear whether the future dream house should be made of wood or brick, Almondia selected construction companies that offered both types of construction. (You can find all the advantages and disadvantages of the two types of construction in our article wooden house vs. solid house .)
“The biggest challenge is that you are confronted with so many different construction companies. If Almondia hadn’t helped filter out the right construction partner, everything would have been a lot more difficult.”
Many become three construction partners…
Finally, Almondia selected three construction companies that best met the requirements of the Steinert family. After these companies had contacted the prospective builders, appointments were made to explain the concrete ideas again and negotiate the offers. However, since it was already clear at this point that the new house would be built of bricks, the offer of timber frame construction could be ruled out from the outset. So there were still two offers, one of which very quickly turned out to be the more suitable one. So the choice of the Steinert family was unanimous in favor of the company ECOBAU Allgäu GmbH .
“So we didn’t have any serious difficulties in comparing, but if we had, Almondia would certainly have helped us.”
… three become one.
There were many reasons in favor of ECOBAU: on the one hand, the construction company offered to build the house turnkey . On the other hand, ECOBAU works exclusively with local and always the same craftsmen for the execution of the different trades. The heating engineer and the plumber as well as the carpenter and the painter as well as all other construction partners come from the area and have a good reputation in the region. It was also particularly advantageous that the individual companies are already a well-rehearsed team due to their many years of experience in working together. In this way, a smooth process on the construction site could be guaranteed. (What you should pay attention to when choosing the right construction company, we have put together for you in our article Finding a suitable construction company – with these 6 criteria .)
This is how Almondia helps
The range of construction companies is almost as large as the range of different house types, shapes and sizes. The market is difficult for prospective builders to survey. With targeted questions, Almondia filters out the most important requirements for you for a reliable construction company and narrows down the selection to two suggestions based on your criteria. After the construction company has made initial contact with you and presented their offer to you in a personal meeting, it is up to you to choose one. Of course, Almondia is at your side throughout the decision-making process and will compare the available offers for you in order to make the right choice together.
And it ends with a trip
As at the beginning, an excursion was also on the program at the end of the selection process for the right construction company. To be on the safe side, the Steinert family visited a house that had been built by the ECOBAU company. Surprisingly, this suggestion came from the construction company itself, which gave Julia and Sebastian Steinert an address nearby. The Steinert family asked the homeowners how satisfied they were with ECOBAU, which was praised in terms of both quality and the construction process. Now the decision was finally made and the prospective builders received a short time later the draft contract from their desired construction company.
