ArchDaily
The English website is probably the best-known of the international architecture portals. The site, which aims to provide inspiration, knowledge and tools for architects, is always up to date and well maintained. The content is varied – from articles on current specialist discourses and news from the architectural scene to projects, events, interviews and competitions to architectural city guides: On ArchDaily you can find something on all topics. The “Houses” section in the “Residential Architecture” category is of particular interest to private builders. The projects presented here are rather experimental, but can definitely act as a source of ideas.
ConstructionNet
The German classic among architecture websites delivers new reports every working day. This daily news feed is very interesting for people who have a broad interest in architecture, but if you are looking for specific projects or content, you have to use the search function (top right). So by visiting this site you should already have a general idea of what you are looking for. On the Baunetz Knowledge page, which is also part of BauNetz Media GmbH, you will also find countless explanations and definitions of terms for all conceivable aspects of planning, building and living.

You will also find numerous articles and contributions on various topics on this website. Under the heading “Topics” you will find, among other things, articles on buildings, interiors, construction or sustainability. Under “Research” you can find out about current specialist discourses in various fields such as energy & resources, society & urban affairs or production & processes.
